Ms. Nan Hyland (posthumously awarded), Mann Library, Cornell University in recognition of her demonstrated leadership in advancing the field of agricultural information, establishment of new directions or visions for the field of agricultural information, and contributions to the development, application or utilization of new or improved methods or techniques in the organization or delivery of agricultural information.

Melanie A. Gardner, USDA/National Agricultural Library, in recognition of her visionary role in advancing AgNIC and for her leadership contributions to agricultural information.
2008
Barbara Hutchinson, Assistant Director of the Arizona Agricultural Experiment Station in Tucson, Arizona in recognition of her visionary role in advancing the field of agricultural information and outstanding leadership to USAIN.
2006
JoAnn DeVries, formerly Coordinator for Collection Development and Management in Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Sciences at the University of Minnesota, in recognition of her exceptional record of professional leadership, research and scholarship during 1991-2006.
2005
Toni Greider, Associate Dean for Research & Education for Universityof Kentucky Libraries, in recognition of her visionary leadership in establishing USAIN as a viable component of the national agricultural information community and her many contributions in the international information arena.

James Horsfield (posthumously awarded), USDA economist instrumental in developing AgEcon Search.
M. Kay Mowery, for her leadership and contributions to USAIN and to agricultural information in general.
2001
Pamela Q. J. Andre, former Director of the National Agricultural Library, for her outstanding efforts in areas such as the development of AgNIC, digital preservation, and international outreach.
Special Achievement Award ^top
A Special Achievement Award may be given to a member of USAIN who has provided outstanding service or support to USAIN. It is awarded for work performed outside the sphere of the Executive Committee. It is awarded on an ad hoc basis, for meritorious service to USAIN. Nominations for this award generally come from the Executive Council.
2010
Michael D. Esman, USDA, National Agricultural Library, in recognition and gratitude for his eleven years of service and contributions as the National Agricultural Library Liaison to the USAIN Executive Council.
2008
Carla Casler, Research Specialist at Arid Lands Studies in Tucson, Arizona, was given the first USAIN Special Achievement Award in recognition of her leadership in developing the USAIN website into a major stop on the agricultural information highway and for her long record of outstanding service.

Ms. Gauri Salokhe, Office of Knowledge Exchange, Research and Extension (OEK) Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of agricultural information.

Peter R. Young, Library of Congress, in recognition of his role as Director of the National Agricultural Library and for his contributions to the field of agricultural information.
2006
Sarah Thomas was one of USAIN's charter members and served as a leader in agricultural librarianship at the National Agricultural Library and Cornell University. Ms. Thomas is currently the Director of University Library Services at Oxford University.
2001
Nancy Eaton, Dean of Libraries, The Pennsylvania State University, for her work in the early development of USAIN, and for her pioneering activities in the electronic dissemination of information, such as AgNIC and the National Agricultural Text Digitizing Program;
Jan Kennedy Olsen, formerly Director of Mann Library at Cornell University, for her visionary and pioneering activities in the field, including the development of the national preservation program for agricultural information;
Sam Demas, College Librarian and Senior Lecturer at Carleton College Library, for his leadership and direction, also in the development of the national preservation program for agricultural information.
