  • E-answers — a searchable Web site that provides research-based information on a wide range of Extension subjects, including: agriculture, forestry, fishing, family/consumer issues, lawn and garden, child development, 4-H/youth, environment, public policy, economics, water quality and communities. Publications from over 30 states are available.
  • Journal of Extension (JOE) — 1970 - present. JOE is the official refereed journal of the U.S. Cooperative Extension System. It seeks to expand and update the research and knowledge base for Extension professionals and other adult educators to improve their effectiveness.
  • PlantFacts — horticulture and crop science information from 46 different colleges, universities, and government institutions across the United States and Canada. This searchable site run by the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, The Ohio State University provides access to over 260,000 pages of Extension fact sheets and bulletins from every land-grant university in the U.S. and several government institutions across Canada. Try this resource even for non-plant research queries as their "plant" filter is porous.
  • Extension Information about Alternatives — links to Extension Guidesheets prepared by extension agents around the country, organized by topic. Provided by the Missouri Alternatives Center and the University of Missouri-Columbia.
  • Extension Forestry — "Best Extension Forestry Sites in the US" compiled by About.com, which provides links to many state sites which include publications.
  • Tropical Agriculture: PEOPLE (Portable Extension Office for Program Literature Exchange) — from the University of Guam links to full-text documents on topics related to tropical agriculture.

  • Publications & Videos Across the States — alphabetical list of states, with links extension publication catalogs and full-text documents. Compiled by Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service, but listing resources for most states.
