Conference ScholarshipsUSAIN makes conference scholarships available to graduate students in library or information science and to members who are new to the profession or to agricultural librarianship. The scholarship provides financial assistance to help the winners attend the biennial USAIN conference. Many winners have become active, longstanding members and leaders within USAIN. USAIN Awards Committee is pleased to announce that applications are now
open for our biennial conference scholarships! This is your opportunity
to attend the USAIN 2026 Conference at Virginia Tech, May 31–June 3,
2026.
Who Should Apply? Scholarships are awarded for each of the following categories:
Award Amounts: Scholarships range from $500 to $1,000 to support your conference attendance and professional development.

Selection Criteria: Submissions will be judged on thoughtfulness, creativity, and writing quality.
Awardee Commitment: Award
recipients agree to write a reflection on their conference experience.
The written reflection will be submitted to the Awards & Honors
Committee for approval. It will be posted to USAIN’s social media
accounts, website and listserv.
Scholarship
recipients will be recognized at the USAIN Awards Ceremony during the
conference. USAIN reserves the right to withhold awards if no suitable
applicants are identified.
