Conference Hotel

The conference will be held at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center, located on the campus of Michigan State University.

The block for attendees has been sold out, but hotel rooms are still available (starting at $175 per night). Complimentary Wi-Fi access and covered parking is included for hotel guests. Hotel check-in is at 4 pm and check-out is at noon. Reservations can be canceled without penalty if notice is received by 4 pm two days prior to check-in.

For all attendees, including AgNIC and workshop attendees, the conference rate is valid Sunday through Thursday nights, (May 5-9).

Note: For those not staying at the conference hotel, free parking is available at all campus meters and pay-by-plate lots from April 29-May 12, 2024. This includes Ramp 4, which is adjacent to the Kellogg Center.

Other Area Hotels

Additional hotels in the area include the Marriott East Lansing at University Place and the Graduate East Lansing. Both are located in downtown East Lansing, within walking distance of MSU's campus and the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. The MSU Office of the Controller also has a list of recommended area hotels and inns available on their website.

Flights

Lansing

The Capitol Regional International Airport (LAN) is located in Lansing, MI and is approximately a 15-minute drive from campus. There is no shuttle available, but the airport works with the following taxi service providers:

Detroit

The Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), located in southwest Metro Detroit, is approximately a 75-minute drive from campus. It is the largest international airport serving Michigan and many routes offer connections to the Lansing airport.

The Michigan Flyer offers transportation between East Lansing and the Detroit Metro Airport. Buses run several times a day to both the McNamara and Evans terminals. The pickup/drop-off location in East Lansing is in front of the Marriott in downtown East Lansing, within walking distance from the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. The Hytch Rideshare can also be used for transportation to and from the Kellogg Center; tickets can be purchased when making your Michigan Flyer reservation.

GROUND TRAVEL

Train

The Amtrak Blue Water route offers daily service between East Lansing and Chicago. The station is part of the Capital Area Multimodal Gateway on MSU's campus, located within walking distance of the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Bus

The Greyhound and Indian Trails bus services are also available with stops at the Capital Area Multimodal Gateway.

Locally, the Capital Area Transportation Authority (CATA) services both the MSU campus and the Greater Lansing area.

Construction Notices

The end of winter in Michigan also signals the start of construction season - there are a lot of construction zones both on and around MSU. Most map apps and programs will include notices and detours, but it is recommended you double check your route before you travel in case closures pop up unexpectedly.
