Conference Scholarship for Students
One $1000.00 scholarship to be applied to the cost of attending the USAIN 2022 conference and other professional development events is available to a student interested in pursuing a career in the field of agricultural information. The virtual conference will be held April 3-6, 2022 hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.
To apply, send a cover letter including name, address, e-mail address, and phone number, along with information about the program of study you are undertaking and a brief explanation of why you are interested in attending the USAIN conference or how agricultural information fits into your career plans.
Also, submit a typed essay on a separate page or pages. The essay should be double-spaced, no more than 750 words, and address the 2022 conference theme: “Supporting Agriculture: Food, Fiber, and Family.” Essays will be judged on the basis of thoughtfulness, quality of writing, and adherence to application guidelines as described above.
Award recipients agree to write and publish a reflection of their conference experience on USAIN social media. The reflection will be submitted to the Awards & Honors Committee for approval prior to publication.
A check will be mailed to the recipient following the USAIN Awards ceremony at the Conference. USAIN reserves the right to withhold the award if there are no suitable applicants.
