Conference Scholarship for Librarians Representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities:
One $2000.00 scholarship to be applied to the costs of attending the USAIN 2022 conference is available to USAIN members who represent Historically Black Colleges and Universities and who are involved in the field of agricultural information. The virtual conference will be held April 3-6, 2022 hosted by the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR.
To apply, send a cover letter including name, address, e-mail address, and phone number along with job title/description, place of employment and a brief explanation of why you are interested in attending the USAIN conference.
Also, submit an essay on a separate page or pages. The essay should be double-spaced, no more than 750 words, and address the 2022 conference theme: “Supporting Agriculture: Food, Fiber, and Family.” Essays will be judged on the basis of thoughtfulness, quality of writing, and adherence to application guidelines as described above.
Award recipients agree to write and publish a reflection of their conference experience on USAIN social media. The reflection will be submitted to the Awards & Honors Committee for approval prior to publication.
A check will be mailed to the recipient following the USAIN Awards ceremony at the Conference. USAIN reserves the right to withhold the awards if there are no suitable applicants.
